The project proposes a remodeling of the existing building from an old-age care facility into a select boutique hotel. The project largely maintains the existing building structure and strategically addresses the ground floor/entry, updates the vehicular circulation to provide valet and parking, and introduces a pool and amenities deck at the roof level. The typical floors of the building will be renovated to accommodate high-end hotel suites, including ADA accessible units and larger suites. The design approach to the facades retains much of the original character, and updates the facade with fresh color treatment and screens. In all, the project represents a transformation of the existing building and offers a unique hotel experience, as it adds to the cluster of historic structures within its district.
