Banana Republic/Chase Federal Bank

Miami Beach, Florida | 2000

The Chase Federal Bank Building projects a monumental civic presence on Lincoln Road. Its modern classical façade of quarry keystone, aluminum and glass were matched on the interior with extensive marble and terrazzo, as well as decorative metal fittings.  The bank’s significant characteristics were successfully restored while converting the structure to its new use as a Banana Republic store: banking windows were converted to cash & wraps; check-writing counters became display platforms; and the vault was transformed into dressing rooms.
